i'd rather be a salmon.
i wonder if animals and machines deal with dependency issues? and if their dependency issues turn into addiction issues, like us human kind. food? sure...some animals, cows - but is that way because they're not roaming free and they have nothing better to do than eat grass? and what about machines... the idea of a "well oiled machine" sounds great. but that well oiled machine needs someone to oil it. otherwise it'll break. maybe as humans we can learn something from these cousins of ours. we can learn to cope with issues from observing them. after all, we're not caged in grass fields and force fed like cows and we don't need someone to oil us like a machine. so life must be pretty rad then. as long as we're oiled up by someone we trust or even just self oiled and not force fed we can take the world by storm. i mean that's the point isn't it if you're not a machine or a cow. but what's the point if you're a salmon? seems like a nice life... you can live off whatever floats in front of you and you produce your own oil. maybe as humans we should strive to be more like salmon.
it's been a strange day today. this is what i've been thinking about all day as i'm killing time, waiting to go to work and act like a human penguin. i'd rather be a salmon today.
